Itinerary
Day 01 :
Arrival > Sigiriya
- Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and begin your journey to Sigiriya (Approx. 4 hrs 30 min – 150 km).
- En route, enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan rice & curry lunch at a village-style restaurant.
- Visit a spice and herbal garden to learn about Ayurveda and sample herbal teas.
- Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a 5th-century marvel with frescoes, mirror walls, and water gardens.
- Explore the Sigiriya Museum to better understand the site's historical significance.
- Optional: Try a bullock cart ride or visit a nearby lake for a sunset boat tour.
Day 02 :
Sigiriya > Kandy (via Dambulla)
- Start the day with a hearty breakfast and visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, home to centuries-old Buddhist murals.
- Drive towards Kandy, the last royal capital (Approx. 2 hrs 30 min – 95 km).
- Stop at a herbal and spice garden in Matale for a short guided tour.
- In Kandy, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, housing a revered relic of Lord Buddha.

Day 03 :
Kandy > Nuwara Eliya
- Travel through scenic mountains and tea-clad hills to Nuwara Eliya (Approx. 2 hrs 30 min – 75 km).
- Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya en route, home to 4,000+ species of flora.
- Stop at a tea factory and plantation to see tea-making processes and enjoy a tasting session.
- Explore the colonial charm of Nuwara Eliya town, visiting Gregory Lake, Victoria Park, and Post Office.

Day 04 :
Nuwara Eliya > Ella

- Arrive in Ella and enjoy lunch at a panoramic café overlooking the Ella Gap.

Day 05 :
Ella > Yala

- Visit Buduruwagala, a cluster of ancient Buddha carvings on a massive rock face (optional).
- Check-in to your jungle lodge or tented safari camp.

Day 06 :
Yala Safari > Mirissa

- Drive to Mirissa, a coastal town known for its crescent-shaped beach (Approx. 3 hrs 30 min – 140 km).
- Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach, enjoying cocktails, or swimming.
- End the day with a candlelit dinner by the ocean.
Day 07 :
Departure
- Optional: Wake early for a whale and dolphin watching tour (seasonal: Nov–Apr).
